Venna Melinda admits her nose is bleeding, allegedly under pressure from Ferry Irawan’s boss in Kediri’s hotel room

SURABAYA, KOMPAS.com Artis Melinda came admitted to being abused by her husband Ferry Irawan until his nose bled.

The violence occurred in a hotel room in Kediri, East Java on Sunday (8/1/2023).

“The journalist’s (Venna Melinda) nose was pressed against the reported head until it bled,” Subdirectorate IV Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda East Java AKBP Head Hendra Eko Triyulianto said on Monday (9/1/2023) afternoon.

Police pocketed CCTV footage of the hotel which recorded Venna and Ferry entering and leaving the hotel.

Hendra said there was a witness from the hotel who saw Venna when she left the room.

“When the victim left the room, there were witnesses from the hotel,” he said.

Allegedly they often receive threats

During questioning, Venna Melinda admitted to police that she often received harsh treatment from her husband, Ferry Irawan.

“Since the victim’s statement, the complaining party has often threatened the victim with physical violence,” Hendra said.

In this reported case, the investigators also seized a number of pieces of evidence such as clothes and towels worn by the complainant during the Domestic Violence Occurrence (KDRT).

Still no suspects

Artist Venna Melinda is known for reporting her husband Fery Irawan to the Kediri police on suspicion of domestic violence.
