This year, the company also plans to make additional investments in a new “Fulfillment” center near Warsaw, Poland. It will be a solution for Baltic e-commerce companies that deliver their goods across Europe. The center will provide all the services needed for e-commerce, including storage and delivery.

The data show that, compared to 2019, the occupancy rate of European logistics facilities increased by 16% last year. In the US and Asia by 21% and 32% respectively. At the same time, vacancy rates in Europe have fallen to a record low of around 5% (“The Economist). There is also a growing demand for warehouse space in the Baltic States, but the current supply cannot satisfy it. Building new warehouses takes time and financial resources, which is not the best solution for smaller and fast-growing traders.

“Over the last two years, online shopping and, consequently, the volume of goods has grown faster than expected. According to our estimates, the development of e-commerce and delivery services is developing five years faster than it would have been under normal conditions. There is not enough space in Europe for Therefore, a modern and automated warehouse will allow serving up to 50% more e-commerce customers in the Baltic States and will save on logistics costs, “explains Justs Šablinsks, CEO of Venipak (Jousting Šablinskas).

In 2020, Venipak delivered 45% more parcels to Latvian customers, in the first quarter of 2021 – by 54% more than in the same period last year.
