Per Pietro Castellitto it was an important day. That of his directorial debut. The 28-year-old presented at the Venice Film Festival, Orizzonti section, his The predators. And if he directs on the screen, on the red carpet he wanted the whole family at his side: dad Sergio, mom Margaret Mazzantini, and the three younger brothers: Maria, Cesare and Anna.
The human chain of the Castellittos posed as a united family. Indeed more: “An aggregation of love”, a tribe, as the director usually repeats. Between him and the writer he has lasted for over 30 years: “After all, ours was not a love, it was a destiny. With Margaret we did many things together, but above all the family. Our children witnessed everything: harmony and quarrels. We are a sort of micro-company: six individuals who know how to share ».
So Peter could only choose his path, continuing to follow the trail. An actor since childhood, he has now chosen to be behind the camera as well. In a few months, however, it will be Francesco Totti. But he is not afraid to disappoint the fans: “It will be because I play the son of six million people or it will be because of unconsciousness, but I don’t feel the responsibility”, he told us. After all, he can always count on at least five fans.
