CARACAS – The Venezuelan government informs the technology platform Banco de Venezuela, the country’s leading bank, getting cyber attack.

Many customers are unable to access the service and their bank accounts, reports the Sputnik News Agency.

Through social media, the bank informed that efforts were being made to restore services.

Speaking at an anti-imperialist demonstration in the capital Caracas, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said the attack was carried out using high-tech weapons that only the US government has in the world.

“Today we have restored power supply in 70 percent of the country, but by noon, cyber attack another was done against one of the facilities, which until now worked flawlessly. For this reason, all the progress we had made in the middle of the afternoon was cut off,” he explained as quoted by Anadolu.
