Venezuela’s Electrical System suffers new “terrorist attack”

Caracas. A new “terrorist attack” on the Venezuelan Electrical System occurred this Wednesday and affected 25 percent of the national territory.

“I want to denounce again a terrorist attack on the national electrical system,” said the Minister for Electrical Energy, Jorge Márquez, who reported in telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión that the attack targeted the transmission system.

He pointed out that “these terrorists only plan to harm our country, while the people continue working to move forward.”

Márquez indicated that they were “recovering all the cargo to restore service throughout the nation” in a reasonable time.

He thanked the entire working class of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) who “works tirelessly to restore service.”

The owner stressed that there is a new attack on our country, while there is a working class and combative people who are at the forefront fighting to move forward.

As our president Nicolás Maduro says, “they have not been able to, nor will they be able to”, “here we are the workers of the Ministry of Energy and the workers of Corpoelec, working tirelessly to restore this service,” he remarked.

He insisted that these ‘terrorists’ only seek to harm the working class, grandparents, the sick and children in schools, and intend to generate anxiety and unrest.
