On BLU Radio we learned the story of Susan Eliana Andrensen, a Venezuelan citizen who also has United States citizenship, and who traveled to Colombia in the company of her 11-year-old girl with a special visa that allows her to stay in the country for 10 months to meet her husband in Cúcuta.
Despite this, she finds herself stranded in the El Dorado airport because it alleges that officials of Colombian Migration They do not let her enter the country because she is not vaccinated against COVID – 19. Mrs. Susan suffers from high-load ventricular cardiac arrhythmia, which forces her to have a device attached to her body and, on the recommendation of her doctors, the vaccine has not been applied. biological.
“My family doctor in Cúcuta, the doctor who follows me, recommends that I not get the vaccine for health reasons because some vaccines have myocarditis as a side effect, which is the heart enlarges and that is dangerous for me”, Susan said in dialogue with BLU Radio.
Despite not having the vaccine, they have a negative PCR test, however, that single document does not allow them to enter Colombia by directive of the Ministry of Health. Now they wait in a special room at El Dorado Airport for their situation to be resolved.
“The girl is lying on the floor with me, covering us with the clothes we have because it is very cold… She already ate something around 4 in the afternoon and she has not eaten anything at all”; the woman added about her daughter’s situation.
From Migration Colombia they assure that this case must be resolved by the Ministry of Health, who are the ones who give the instructions for foreign citizens to enter the country in the midst of the pandemic.
