The Venezuelan Pablo Andrade, came to New York several years ago with the intention of studying acting professionally, today he has managed to conquer with his talent the theatrical movement of this city and also helps in the training of new talents.
The actor, director and theater producer, already has a long list of projects in his portfolio as an actor, he has had the opportunity to direct and write some projects, teaches classes at HB Studios (non-profit organization that offers professional training in the performing arts) and also has his own theater company “Corezon”.
He left the land that saw him born motivated by his career, “I wanted to study acting professionally, live new experiences and grow as an artist ”, he told local media.
Thanks to that motivation came to New York where he trained professionally at the HB Studio, At the end of his studies, many job opportunities began to come to him, so he decided to stay acting in the United States.
In Venezuela he performed and produced, in 2011, the Festival Centenario de Tennessee Williams, participated in the works “A streetcar named desire ”,“ Talk to me like rain ”and“ Queens & Queers”, With directors Orlando Arocha, Diana Volpe and Julio Bouley. His most recent work was in 2019, after a brief return to Caracas, where he was one of the protagonists of the film “This is chemistry”.
Currently, together with his wife Yessi Hernández, he is developing a project entitled “Outsiders”, a moving piece about Venezuela and of the immigrants, initially it was a monologue, but now it is in the process of being adapted for two versions, theater with a cast; and cinema.
Another project that Andrade has on the table is the work “La Tía Julia y el Escribidor”, which will begin rehearsals in February and will be presented at the Gala Theater in Washington DC. Simultaneously, it will continue to give online classes at HB Studio. Regarding production and artistic management, he is focused on a new play for your theater company.
