Venezuelan Maestro Gustavo Dudamel will lead the New York Philharmonic Orchestra from 2026, in a remarkable development in terms of movement in the music sector. The 42-year-old orchestra conductor wrote on Twitter: “I am honored to be appointed as the future Artistic Director and Musician of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and to follow in the footsteps of Gustav Mahler, Arturo Toscanini and Leonard Bernstein.”
Gustavo is considered one of the best conductors in the world, and he currently combines the musical direction of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra (since 2009) and the Paris Opera, where he will take over in 2021.
Dudamel is ranked as one of the most gifted conductors in the world, as he masterfully conducts ensembles to play symphonies or to perform pieces of popular culture.
