Nicolás Maduro: The US must keep its nose out of Venezuela

He denounced that massive cyber attacks carried out from different parts of the world against the technological infrastructure of the Electoral Power and the main telecommunications companies of the State delayed the transmission of the minutes and the process of disclosing the results.

He added that this was compounded by the consequences of the violent acts, which he described as terrorist attacks, which included the burning of regional electoral offices, voting centres and emergency transmission centres.

He said that despite this, the Electoral Power has managed to transmit the majority of the minutes to date and, consequently, can adhere to the provisions of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes and other current regulations and inform the people and the international community of the results.

He said the turnout was 59.97 percent.

He congratulated the people of Venezuela for the profound demonstration of democratic vocation shown during the elections, the troops deployed through the Plan República to guarantee the security of the elections and the international observers.
