Venezuelan Authorities Arrest 32 People for Alleged Assassination Plots Against President Nicolas Maduro

The authorities announced Venezuelan On Monday, it arrested 32 people, both civilians and military, on charges of “betrayal of the homeland,” for their involvement in “five plots” to assassinate the president. Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuelan Prosecutor Tarek William Saab told reporters, “All those arrested (…) confessed and revealed information about… Schemes targeting the Venezuelan people and democratic society.”

He added that arrest warrants were issued against 11 other people, including human rights activists, journalists, and exiled military personnel.
