The Venezuelan actor, Julio Mota, remembered for being the official voice of the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), passed away early Tuesday morning August 15 at 87 years of age, according to the Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas.
Mota was born on April 8, 1936 and began his career in the artistic world by attending a friend’s theatrical rehearsals, with no intention of participating. In the absence of one of the actors, the director asked him to read the parliaments. “He did it so well that the director asked him to play the character and although he replied that he was not an actor, he replied that this was not his problem, ”Villegas wrote in a review.
The actor was active for years in the Communist Party of Venezuela and also had an important participation in Venezuelan television. On the RCTV channel he became known for presenting the series Archivos del Más Allá, in which he related stories and legends of the country with his peculiar voice.
He also worked in movies like Eternal Ashes (2011), La Cárcel de la Victoria: The fourth man (2004) The Old Man and the Archangel’s Feather (2002).
