The Ministry of Foreign Affairs “expresses to national and international public opinion, especially to the people and Government of (…) Brazil, that the recent statements issued by the Attorney General of the Republic about President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva correspond to opinions of a very personal and at no time do they reflect the position of the national Executive,” reads a statement.

In an interview broadcast on October 13 on the Globovisión channel, Saab assured that it is “proven” that the Chilean president, Gabriel Boric, is a “CIA agent”, and “he is now followed” – according to the prosecutor – by the chief. of Brazilian State, who also “was captured.” Furthermore, the Venezuelan official, who said he had met Lula, assured that the Brazilian “is not the same in his physique or in how he expresses himself” compared to the one who “founded and harangued the Brazilian labor movements” in the 70s and 80s.

This Tuesday, the Venezuelan Executive reaffirmed its commitment to “building ties of brotherhood and solidarity” with Brazil, and sent its “absolute respect for the career” of Lula and “his leadership.”
