The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked the Puebla Group that issued a statement on Tuesday demanding the end of the blockade against Venezuela so that the country can access the vaccine against COVID-19.
Through her account on the social network Twitter, the official rejected the discrimination exercised by the Government of Colombia against Venezuelan migrants.
“We are grateful and we join the Puebla Group in their call to unlock Venezuela’s financial resources to access the COVID-19 vaccine and reject Iván Duque’s discrimination against Venezuelan migrants by denying them the vaccine. Enough of so much cruelty! ”, He published.
The Puebla Group’s statement indicates that “there is no excuse, no justification, no opinion or political situation that can explain a refusal or justification,” referring to Venezuela’s access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
The document adds: “We call, demand, and demand that the US Government, the EU and the European Governments that retain assets for billions of dollars from the people of Venezuela, release, in the necessary amount, those resources necessary to to finance the vaccine for all Venezuelans ”.
