The Vice Minister for Europe of the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Daniela Rodríguez, held a working meeting on Wednesday with the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey accredited in Venezuela, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, in order to continue advancing in the strengthening of the strategic alliance that they develop for the well-being of both peoples.
The meeting took place at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, in the historic heart of Caracas, where they agreed that the potential for cooperation between both nations favors the great progress made in different areas of common interest and shared benefits.
In addition, the diplomats reiterated that Venezuela and Turkey are united by the efforts and conviction to maintain peace in the international system and the rejection of all forms of interference and imperial domination.
Caracas and Ankara are going through an excellent moment in their relations of friendship and cooperation. On March 13, at the end of the II Antalya Diplomatic Forum, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Félix Plasencia, met with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, and they advanced in exchanging productive political consultations, in addition to defining actions to continue promoting the bilateral relationship.
The strategic alliance between Venezuela and Turkey includes more than 40 cooperation agreements in the areas of agriculture, construction, industry, economy, education, oil, health, transportation and tourism, favored by the political will and friendship of Presidents Nicolás Maduro Moros and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
