Venetis entered a new business field, establishing at the end of July a company for the production and marketing of olive oil.
After the rescue of “Pagota Dodoni” and with the control of the iconic company recently passing into the hands of Venice, Panagiotis Monemvasiotis decided to be active in the new field of glory for the food business, olive oil.
Venice: The objectives for the olive oil market
On July 31, OLYMPIA EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL I.K.E. was registered in GEMI. with an initial capital of 100,000 euros. Panagiotis Monemvasiotis appears as the manager of the new company, with Venetis ABEET being a partner with 55% and Georgios Mandas owning 45%.
The main activity of the company is the cultivation of olives for the production of olive oil, while the export of olive oil, the pressing services of olive fruit and other oilseeds, as well as the wholesale trade of olive oil, are described as a secondary activity.
The movements of Venice
The new company comes to be added to the business activity of Venice. After the café restaurant K. Parthenis and the café Ilissos in the National Gallery which are operating normally, the development plan of Venice with a four-year horizon budget of 79.5 million euros “runs” normally.
The plan includes: construction of building facilities of a new unit with a total area of 15,000 sq.m. (15 million euros), supply of mechanical equipment and green production lines (5 million euros), costs for studies (500 thousand euros), plan for the consolidation and development of Pagota Dodoni (10 million euros), purchase of new equipment and renovation of existing building facilities (5 million euros), establishment of new corporate stores (10 million euros) and acquisition of restaurant chains (20 million euros), “through which growth will also come”.
A month ago, its head officially gave the signal for the new era for Dodoni Ice Creams, placed under the umbrella of Veneti, with the new concept starting from the Cremeria Veneti store in Nea Erythrea. Depending on the acceptance, it will be decided in the course of its development either with corporate stores or with the franchise system.
While at the beginning of June, he announced the reopening of the legendary Jackson Hall on Milioni Street in Kolonaki, in its new form. According to the design, an American-style bar-restaurant has been set up on the first floor where two brands, Jackson Burger and Pizza Mia, will be active, while on the ground floor an Artisan Bakery has been created under the concept brand “Veneti Jackson’s”, which operates already on Kassaveti in Kifissia.
