The UFC has another numbered tournament behind it, where two title fights have appeared. Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya defended their belts. The latter in particular is criticized for the fact that his duels often end in points and are not that attractive. Jiří Procházka, who leads one of the statistics among the champions, deserves even more honor for now.
Styles make matches. Thanks to this, Jiří Procházka got a title match in the best organization in the world so soon. The same motto is followed by Israel Adesanya, the dominant middleweight champion, who, however, faces unjustified criticism at times.
What is he actually criticized for? For lack of early terminations. His matches are especially enjoyed by those who see in his style the beauty of tactics and great movement, with which he allows his opponents absolutely nothing. He won 12 duels in the UFC, of which only 4 ended prematurely.
But the same is true of two otherwise prominent fighters who are referred to as monsters. Specifically, Alexander Volkanovski, who has the same balance of matches and early terminations, and Kamaru Usman, who is the same only in percentage (33.3% early terminations).
Only women’s champion Carla Esparza is doing worse than the trio, with two shutouts from 10 wins.
The Moravian fighter Jiří Procházka is at the head of this championship statistics, who finished all three of his UFC fights. As the only one, it remains 100%. However, this is obviously affected by the small number of matches.
Although, given the record Procházka has in his entire career, it will not be a surprise if he maintains similar numbers with an increasing number of duels. Only once did Procházka win on points from his 29 wins, all other duels ended prematurely.
Right behind Procházka is Francis Ngannou, who has stopped 11 of his 12 fights. Sensational is the record of Charles Oliveira, who is not currently a champion, but is expected to become one again soon. Out of 21 duels won, he ended 19 prematurely.
