One of the leaders in the wholesale of construction materials – the company “Velve MS Technologies” is changing its name and will operate under the name “Velve Material Systems” in the Baltics. During the past 25 years of the company’s existence, the construction industry has developed significantly, and the specifics of the company’s operations have changed along with it. Velve MS currently provides construction materials for the needs of both private houses and large infrastructure construction objects, and is also the only distributor of Mapei products in the Baltic States.
“During the company’s long history, we have experienced the development of the construction industry and, in cooperation with material manufacturers, have tried to promote the use of new, environmentally friendly technologies in the construction of buildings and infrastructure facilities. The past three years have been challenging for the construction industry. Inflation, material availability and supply disruptions have all made the industry less predictable, but we have managed to ensure the continued development of the company and it is time to take the next step by changing the name of the company as well,” explains “Agris Kreislers, head of Velve Material Systems.
Responding to the demand of the industry, during the past year the company made investments in expanding the warehouse from 900 to 1400 m2. The company also moved to new office premises in Kalniņi, Mārupe. “Velve MS” closed the year 2022 with a record high turnover of 5.6m euros, which was 40% more than the year before. This year, the company will continue to make investments in raising the qualifications of employees in all Baltic states.
Velve MS was founded in 1997 and its focus was initially masonry rehabilitation technologies. Currently, the company offers a wide range of products from construction material manufacturing companies in Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, Poland, Austria and elsewhere. Among the company’s clients are the leading construction retail chains “Tirdzniciebas nams Kurši”, “KSenukai”, “Būvniciebas ABC”, “Krūza”, as well as Latvia’s largest construction companies.
The “Velve MS” name change also includes a new visual identity for the brand and was developed by design studio H2E. The new logo visually clearly represents the cornerstones of the company’s activities – the offer of the highest quality materials, complex solutions and technical support in the design and construction process. The first letter “V” of the name Velve has turned into direction indicators, symbolizing both the wide range of products and the search for different solutions according to needs.
