The VELORACE cycling race will take place in Dresden on Sunday, August 11, 2024. This will result in restrictions and changes to scheduled services between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. In addition, delays and short stops are to be expected wherever cyclists cross our lines at so-called lock points. This affects lines 1, 2, 6, 13, 44 and 68 at Mitte station, on Blasewitzer and Lipsiusstrasse, at Sachsenplatz and Comeniusplatz.
Line 1: It is split from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: In the east it only runs from Prohlis to Postplatz and then as line 10 to Tolkewitz. In the west it serves the section Leutewitz – Bahnhof Mitte and there it becomes line 10 to the Dresden trade fair.
Line 10: It is also split from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and travels from Tolkewitz diverted via Sachsenallee and Albertplatz to Postplatz. There it becomes line 1 to Prohlis. In the west it only travels from the trade fair to Mitte station and then continues as line 1 to Leutewitz.
Line 11: From 8 a.m. onwards, the bus will travel via Neustädter Markt instead of Ostra-Allee.
Line 12: Cannot go via Postplatz and will be diverted via Hauptbahnhof from 8 a.m. In addition, it will turn clockwise at Fetscherplatz from 6 a.m. like line 4. This means that the St. Josef-Stift stop will only be served in the direction of Fetscherplatz until 4:30 p.m.
Line 62: From 8 a.m. the service will be shortened to Hertelstraße and will end at Tatzberg. The Pfotenhauerstraße and Johannstadt stops will be omitted.
