“Velichie” will demand the counting of the elections, parallel counting and verification of the election results. This was stated on the party’s Facebook page by its leader Ivelin Mihailov in a video message.
Mihailov described the election results, according to which his party lacked less than 30 votes to jump the 4 percent barrier to enter the National Assembly, as a “huge fraud.”
“We firmly do not recognize the results of the elections, we do not recognize the way in which the entire campaign was conducted with vote buying, with an arrangement between all parties represented in the parliament – who gets how many votes,” announced Mihailov.
He specified that they will wait for the final counting by the Central Electoral Commission of the October 27 vote, which, he said, takes place up to 72 hours after the counting by the Regional Electoral Commissions, in order to file an appeal regarding the results.
“We will take all actions, including strike action, we will refer various European institutions. We will appeal to the UN,” Mihailov added. We are gathering all the evidence, anyone of you who has evidence should contact us and give it to us, he demanded.
On Monday evening, Mihailov also commented that in the elections “we saw a brutal theft of votes”.
