Velázquez: it is unheard of that the Minister of Petroleum is not in prison, when his entire entourage is accused of corruption

“They stole the money from the teachers of the public administration workers, and they can’t give anyone a salary increase because they embezzled Pdvsa,” said the presidential candidate for La Causa R, Andrés Velázquez, this Saturday, March 25. an unexpected visit to the Palavecino municipality, in the state of Lara, where he made a brief tour from Plaza Bolívar to the entrance of Av. La Mata.

In this sense, he questioned that while the entire environment of Tareck El Aissami is being investigated for corruption, El Aissami is not detained for investigations, and has only been released with the complaint, which in Velázquez’s opinion is nothing more than a bill pass by Nicolás Maduro.

Regarding the primary elections organized by the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Velázquez said that they will be measured without disqualifications, and in case of not being favored, he will support the candidate who emerges victorious.

“I believe that if we hold our primary and we get a candidate in unity, they can swear him in, and even if Maduro does whatever, we are going to defeat him and remove him from power in 2024.”

For his part, the former mayor of Iribarren, Alfredo Ramos, said that despite the limitations imposed by the Maduro administration, as well as the long lines for gasoline, they will not stop the desire for change that Venezuelans are asking for so much, for which he assured that the primary elections will be held, because 85% of Venezuelans want to leave Maduro.
