Veils will be mandatory in the classes from Friday. One – fifth of those newly infected with covid were children Home

Prague From Friday, the Ministry of Health will order the wearing of veils in schools, with the exception of the first stage of primary schools, also in classroom classes, with the exception of gymnastics, singing or playing wind instruments. All restaurants and bars will need to be closed between midnight and six o’clock in the morning from Saturday. The Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch (for YES) told reporters on Thursday.

Until now, restrictions for restaurants applied only in Prague, the Central Bohemian Region and the Uherské Hradiště region. Other measures were not ruled out by the minister, such as blinds at outdoor events, limiting the capacity of indoor events or limiting social contacts by ensuring spacing, for example in restaurants.

“The epidemic situation is not good, the epidemic is gaining momentum. The number of hospitalized is also growing, “said the minister. According to him, it is likely that from Friday, most districts at the traffic light, which identifies the regions according to the risk of infection with covid-19, will be green. This first stage means the occurrence of local outbreaks and sporadic community outbreaks. The number of districts in the second instance increased to 11.

The director of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics Ladislav Dušek added that of the newly diagnosed cases of covid-19, a fifth of the cases were children compulsory at school on Wednesday.

From Monday, the Prague Hygiene Station planned to introduce the mandatory wearing of veils in classrooms at primary, secondary and higher education institutions from Monday. “I am glad that we inspired the Minister of Health in Prague, and in such a quick time the Minister of Health reacted. Personally, however, I am not in favor of introducing measures on a day-to-day basis. It was always announced in Prague with a certain advance. I appreciate that wearing veils will not affect pupils in the first grade, because visual contact with the teacher is key for them, “said Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) when asked by ČTK.

In Prague, the limited opening hours of restaurants and bars have been in force since last week, in the Central Bohemian Region and the Uherské Hradiště district since Monday. Other regions are added from Saturday, they must be closed between midnight and 06:00. “We know that with increasing time, when a person is in the facility and consuming alcohol, the responsibility and compliance with the measures decreases,” said Roman Chlíbek, a member of the epidemiological group at the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday evening that it bans internal mass events for more than ten people from 18:00 on Friday, the regulation also applies to private meetings. Exceptions are exhibitions, markets and similar events. At seating events, tickets must be sold to a specific place. The regulation also applies to restaurants, bars or clubs, which must not let more people in than the seating capacity. The ministry has also clarified the regulations for wearing veils in these places. People don’t have to have them only for consumption, they are also obligatory at the bar if they don’t sit down.

For the first time in the Czech Republic, more than 2,000 cases of coronavirus were added in one day on Wednesday. On Wednesday, tests confirmed the infection in 2139 people, which is 464 more than on Tuesday. Currently, 17,619 people are infected. Most infected people have a mild course of the disease. However, the number of hospitalized is growing, having increased by more than a third in the last week. There are also more people who died with the covid.
