On Tuesday night, it was announced that Veidekke’s sale of Veidekke Eiendom to Norwegian Property, Fredensborg and Union Real Estate Fund III Holding for NOK 7.1 billion had been completed.
At the same time, Veidekke Eiendom changed its name.
The new name for the business is Nordr Eiendom, which will apply in both Norway and Sweden.
Schumann takes the helm
As previously reported, Baard Schumann, former Selvaag Bolig manager, will lead the business.
There he will be responsible for 180 employees and a plot portfolio of 18,800 units in Norway and Sweden.
– It has been a great reception from the employees for the new ownership, and now we look forward together to focus on building the company further in Norway and Sweden. We have many projects that will now be rolled out in the market, and proximity to customers will be our priority, says Schumann in a press release.
Carved into the mountainside
On Nordr Eiendom’s website, the name choice is explained as follows:
«In Nordr we have found a name that symbolizes everything we stand for and everything we have with us. Solid, competent, lasting, a name with a distinctive character and with a clear affiliation with the Nordic countries ».
«Nordr has something timeless about it, it is a name you could well have found carved into a mountainside a thousand years ago. Written in stone ».
