Visits to used urban vehicles on February 1st and 2nd, 2021
Vienna (OTS) – Several times a year, the City of Vienna scraps old vehicles and devices that are no longer suitable for intensive urban use due to their technical condition. However, these are not scrapped or disposed of, but offered to interested parties for sale. Now such a sales campaign is taking place in the bidding process for commercial enterprises. At the February 1st and 2nd, 2021 the vehicles and equipment from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Simmering towing group, Jedletzbergerstraße 1, 1110 Vienna (Simmeringer Haide motorway exit). “This is waste avoidance in practice,” said Jürgen Czernohorszky, City Councilor for Climate Change. “In this way there is a new use for so many discarded parts!”
Corona-related changed procedure
Due to the currently valid Corona regulations, the requirements for the visits must be adjusted. This time, access to the tours is only permitted with a valid trade license. Visiting opportunities for private individuals are therefore not possible this time.
Ambulance delicacies
A personal on-site assessment is recommended in any case, as the vehicles and devices are in need of repair and have not been officially checked. After the sale, they usually serve as a spare part dispenser, although no guarantee can be given for this due to a lack of technical testing. Special delicacies this time are 5 rescue vehicles and 6 transport carts. All other vehicles and equipment offered for sale are on the Homepage the 48er listed.
Written offers for the exhibits must be in a sealed envelope with the label “MA 48-VEAU-8392/2021” no later than February 8, 2021, 1 p.m. Arrive in the municipal department 48, 1050 Vienna, Einsiedlergasse 2, ground floor / room 32. You will receive the offer forms during the viewing times at the Simmering camp site or as Download.
