NEW YORK – A police chase in Rochester ended in a dramatic crash and the arrest of two people.
The incident occurred around 4:30 pm Wednesday, when New York State Police, working with Rochester officers, attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of North Goodman Street and Central Park Avenue.
The vehicle did not stop at the police call and a brief chase ensued. The vehicle hit a curb and flipped into the middle of the street in the area of Bay Street and North Goodman.
Javar Marshall, 21, and Nasir Schifano, 19, were each arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Police recovered a loaded rifle, another loaded gun and ammunition as a result of their investigation.
The suspects were treated for minor injuries and transported to the Monroe County jail without further incident after the fact.
