Thodupuzha: The motor vehicle department has taken stern action against those who did not change the cooling film and curtains of vehicles. As many as 117 people were trapped in the district in two days as the Department of Motor Vehicles intensified its operation screen screening. The number of cases was nabbed during a search conducted by various squads under the Enforcement and RTO of the Department of Motor Vehicles. On Monday alone, 89 people were fined. Of these, 67 vehicles were seized by the Enforcement Division. 22 persons were identified from various divisions under Idukki RTO. Owners of vehicles with blinding cooling films or curtains will be fined Rs 1,250. In addition to paying the fine, you must go to the nearest RTO office and certify that the curtain or film has been removed. If repeated, the registration will be canceled. Unbeknownst to the ban, several vehicles were stranded with cooling film and curtains. Some immediately removed the curtain and escaped. Idukki RTO R said that there will be strict inspection in the coming days and throughout the district. Ramanan and Enforcement RTO K. Harikrishnan also informed. In addition to private vehicles, government and semi-government vehicles will also be included in the inspection. The Transport Secretary has ordered stricter inspections following strong criticism from the High Court. Following this, the officials received the instruction of the Transport Commissioner.
