A vehicle accident occurred at the Zürcherstrasse/Pioneerstrasse junction shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
The car almost hit a child and fled the scene of the accident. As the Winterthur city police wrote, the driver of the vehicle apparently wanted to turn into Pioneer Street. The person lost control of the vehicle and collided with a traffic light.
A child who was waiting in the same place was able to jump to the side at the last moment to avoid being hit by the vehicle.
After the collision, the vehicle fled towards Pioneerstrasse.
Call for witnesses:
Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle was a black Nissan. This would have to show significant damage. Anyone who can provide information about the incident, particularly about the vehicle being sought, is asked to contact the Winterthur city police on 052 267 51 52.
