Vegard Ylvisåker talks about his friendship with fellow reality TV stars and hints at more reality TV in the future

Last autumn, the TV trio Vegard Ylvisåker (43), Fritz Aanes (44) and Cristian Brennhovd (23) charmed the viewers when a solid friendship arose between them during the recording of “71 degrees north – Norway’s toughest celebrity”.

The somewhat unlikely trio quickly found the tone, and helped each other through thick and thin in the tough competitions.

Afterwards, Ylvisåker has spoken about the friendship several times, and last autumn was able to say that the two still kept in touch even after the reality show.

Earlier this summer, however, former “Ex on the Beach” participant Brennhovd went on a new reality stay on “Farmen kendis”.

This time he had to manage without the rest of “Team testo”, and Ylvisåker tells Nettavisen that he is unsure how it went.

Needs support device

When Nettavisen met Ylvisåker in connection with the premiere of the new “Mission Impossible” film earlier this week, the 43-year-old could say that he does not think his friend will impress as much on “The Celebrity Farm” as he did on “71 degrees north – Norway’s toughest celebrity”.

– I don’t think he will do as well in there, because he doesn’t have his support system around him. So I mean Fritz and me, says Ylvisåker to Nettavisen.

– So it was you who kept him in check on “71 degrees north”?

– Not just us, of course, but mostly us. He is lost without us, he says with a twinkle in his eye.

Furthermore, the 43-year-old confirms that “Team testo” are still good friends, but that they don’t hang out that much in everyday life.

– It is difficult to hang out with Cristian, because he is almost never at home. He travels a lot and elsewhere, says Ylvisåker.

Does not rule out more reality

After almost 20 years in the TV industry, Ylvisåker made his reality debut when he appeared on “71 degrees north – Norway’s toughest celebrity” last year.

The “Ylvis” star ran away with the victory for the programme, and tells Nettavisen that this was a program he had dreamed of being part of for quite some time.

However, he does not rule out that there may be more reality in the future.

– As long as it’s fun, I’m in. But there’s a lot of reality TV I couldn’t imagine being a part of either, says Ylvisåker.

– They’re really fussing about whether I want to take part in “Ex on the Beach”, of course. Exes follow me wherever I go, but that’s not really my thing, he adds sarcastically.

The recording of “Farmen kjendis” has just finished, but will not be on the screen until next year.
