Bård Ylvisåker was present on Thursday at the premiere of the blockbuster “Babylon”, where he arrived on the red carpet with his daughters.
The “Kongen Befaler” current comedian revealed here which TV program he could not imagine participating in.
Ylvisåker emphasizes that he will not follow in his brother Vegard’s footsteps into the “71 degrees north: Norway’s toughest celebrity” adventure, where he ran away with the victory last season.
– Eh. No. I don’t feel like it at all. It’s top notch for him, but nothing for me.
Been asked several times
Furthermore, the comedian could reveal that he has been asked to participate in the program on several occasions.
– That’s where Vegard and I differ. They’ve asked me many times if I want to join, or they’ve said “you don’t want to join, do you?”, and I’ve answered “no, that’s completely out of the question”, he laughs.
Ylvisåker goes on to say that he himself has not seen a single episode from when his brother took part.
– I know he enjoyed himself and it’s not bitterness that makes me not see it, but I see enough of my brother. It’s not like I want to relax in front of the TV, only to see what my brother is up to.
– Vegard ran away with the victory, did you get to see the final then?
– I have heard a lot about it. I think I can describe it in detail, all the seconds, the last meters up that hill. I think I know the whole episode by heart, but I haven’t seen it.
Program manager role in The King Commands
Ylvisåker himself is current in the comedy program “Kongen befaler”, where he will take over the role of presenter for Atle Antonsen.
– I’m very excited and think it’s a cool programme. It will be nice for me to be able to just sit there and watch for once, not struggle with the tasks.
The comedian has been involved in the program from the first season, where he helped produce.
– I usually haven’t had time to do something like that or just to jump in at such short notice. Now there was a slip, which made it fit well. I have helped decide a lot of why it is the way it is and have been a participant myself. I feel like I’m part of that family already.
Easy choice
Furthermore, he says that he has tried the well-known chair.
– Then I thought that this chair probably fits Atle better than me, size-wise. Not a bad word about the size, but I got very small. I think I might have to get a pillow to sit on, so I can get up a bit, he laughs.
Ylvisåker says that the choice to accept the presenter job was not difficult.
– It was a request for a text message, so I checked the calendar and it fit. Then I just thought “it’s fun, we do that”.
