VDK has launched a new savings account. The Ritme Savings Account carries an interest rate of 3.15 percent. This is also the most lucrative savings account on the Belgian market.
Why is this important?
Due to the tightening monetary policy of the European Central Bank (ECB), banks currently receive a compensation of 4 percent on the excess savings deposits that they deposit with the monetary institution. Two years ago they still had to pay a penalty interest (-0.5 percent) on this. Financial institutions now have more room to give their savers a little extra.

- But as is often the case with such returns, you have to take a limitation into account. Anyone who saves through the VDK account can set aside a maximum of 500 euros per month.
