“Tell me, what is the specific position? Are we behind something that is written on Facebook ?! On Facebook, a person writes some things sometimes. Does” Vazrazhdane “have to show solidarity with each of these things ?!”

This is how the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov commented on the case with his party colleague Elena Guncheva, who faces up to 15 years in prison for a crime against the republic. The reason was her comment on Facebook, stating that Russia has weapons with which it can hit the Council of Ministers and is ready to give the coordinates of the US Embassy in Bulgaria.

Kostadinov stressed that Elena Guncheva’s comment was “jokingly ironic”, and he gave the party’s official positions.

“If the level of Bulgarian politics is such that we discuss statuses on Facebook, then we can also discuss photos on Instagram or punctuation on Twitter. This is not serious,” Kostadinov said.

He explained that “Vazrazhdane” sent a signal to the prosecutor’s office against Solomon Passy for desecrating the coat of arms of Bulgaria. The reason is a TV interview over the weekend with Passy, in which he explained that our coat of arms has 3 lions with 3 males and a total of 6 balls, but in the case of Ukraine they behave like neutered kittens.

Kostadinov said that 3 years ago the prosecutor’s office was alerted by the current Minister of Justice Nadezhda Yordanova because Kostadinov shared a funny video with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
