The French Blood Establishment, in collaboration with the Association of Volunteer Blood Donors of Vayrac, is organizing a blood drive on Monday August 16, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Foyer Rural (cinema).
With or without an appointment, come and donate some of your blood, but prefer an appointment on mon-rdvdondesang.efs.sante.fr/
The main conditions for donating blood: To be in good health, to be between 18 and 70 years old, to weigh more than 50 kilos and not to have been transfused. It is recommended not to come on an empty stomach and to drink well before and after donation.
In the following cases, donations should be deferred for 7 days at the end of antibiotic treatment; 14 days after an infectious episode; 4 months after an endoscopy, a piercing or a tattoo; 4 months after a trip to a country where malaria is rife.
COVID-19 Info: People who have exhibited symptoms of Covid must wait 28 days after symptoms disappear to donate blood. People with a positive test (RT-PCR or antigen) and without symptoms should wait 14 days after the date of collection to donate blood.
Many come and do a civic and generous act.
There is no product capable of substituting for human blood and blood donation is essential to treat certain diseases.
