Like every last Friday of the month, the officers of the Lot Pompiers chain of command took part, on October 29, in a management exercise. Prepared upstream in conjunction with the managers of the company and the personnel in charge of the site’s fire safety, the Diace company headed by Matthieu Hède, specializing in aluminum gravity casting and pressure casting, was the scene of ‘an intervention scripted in advance but kept secret from the participants. The scenario provided for an outbreak of fire in the workshops of the company with the care of victims.
Given the nature of the various products housed on the site and the associated risks, the intervention quickly increased with the establishment of a Command Post in order to coordinate all the fictitious resources mobilized (activation of the Departmental Operational Center Lot Fire and Rescue – CODIS46, mobilization of firefighting resources, resources for personal assistance, mobilization of the chemical risk referent, management of media requests, etc.). At the end of the exercise, a visit to the company was carried out by all the participants.

It should be noted that the company DIACE has long been one of the employer-partners of the Lot firefighters, counting in its workforce several Volunteer Firefighters assigned to the Vayrac-Bétaille Fire and Rescue Center.
