Pope Francis interrupted his speech at St. Peter’s Square today at noon (9/2) due to bronchitis.
“I apologize, I have a difficulty breathing,” the Pope said, and called on his associate to continue reading his speech, which was dedicated to the Armed Forces as defenders of peace.
Pontiff’s message to Catholic soldiers is “not to cultivate a spirit that favors war clashes”.
Already two days ago, Pope Francis, due to respiratory problems, had decided to stop his official meetings at the Vatican Apostolic Palace and chose, as an alternative space, the Hostel of Agia Martha, in the Vatican, where he resides.
