Pope Francis has appointed Monsignor Roberto Campisi as the new councilor for the Vatican’s internal affairs department. Monsignor Campisi, born in the city of Syracuse in Sicily, Italy, served in the Vatican’s internal affairs department. He has served on behalf of the Vatican diplomatic corps in the Ivory Coast, Venezuela and Italy.
At the same time, the Pope also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the Central American country of El Salvador, Monsignor Luigi Roberto Cona, who served as Deputy Head of the Vatican Interior Department. Cona, the designated archbishop of Sicily, Italy, was born in Nishemi. Abhiwandya has served in the Vatican diplomatic corps since 2003 and has served in Kona, Panama, Portugal, Cameroon, Morocco, Jordan and Turkey.
