VATICAN CITY: The digital synod is launching an online prayer initiative to mark the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ coronation. March 13 is the 10th anniversary of the papacy.
To highlight this milestone in the life of the Catholic Church and the Pope, a special online map digital synod has been released with virtually lit candles featuring the faithful from around the world.
The ministry of the Pope is a great grace given by Jesus to his Church, for which we should always be grateful, according to a statement issued by the Digital Synod. Therefore, prayer for the Pope should be our best gift. It will help support the ministry of one whom God has chosen for this ministry. Because on this rock he builds his church in time and history, the statement said.
Anyone who wants to join this initiative can find an invitation to bless the Mother once or more on the website.
“Finally, in thanksgiving for God’s mercy, Pope Francis will send a map marked with ‘little candles’ to the places of each person who prays for him,” the statement added.
