Vassilis Vrastos, the now former president of the Epirus Region Firefighters Union, announces his departure from the helm of the regional union of firefighters.
“After 3 terms I am leaving the helm of the Union with my head held high” says Mr. Vrastos in his Facebook post and thanks everyone who worked with him during his years of union activity.
The post states the following:
After 3 terms I am leaving the helm of the Union with my head held high.
If I have been a good trade unionist, I am not the one to judge. Mixed emotions.
I feel the need to thank all my colleagues and direct partners for the trust they have shown me.
A big thank you to those who have always been by our side.
The respective Physical and Political leadership
The Region of Epirus
The Mayors and local rulers of Epirus
All unions and the Federation
The media and journalists
The citizens of Epirus
All of you in your own way contribute to the work of the Union.
A very big thank you to my family.
An apology for the mistakes I may have made. Good luck in the next administration of the Union.
We will be here and see you.
