O Basque lost to Remo by 2-1 tonight (13), at Baenão, for the 18th round of the Series B of the Brazilian Championship, and wasted another opportunity to touch the edge of the competition’s table.
With the result, Cruzmaltino remains with 28 points, in seventh place. The team from Pará, in turn, goes to 12th place, with 23 points.
The defeat makes Lisca’s team drop at least one position in the table, as Goiás also won this Friday and is in third position. Operário, Avaí and Botafogo enter the field between Saturday and Sunday, and can pass the Rio team.
In the next round, on Tuesday (17), the Lion visits Confiança no Batistão, in Aracaju-SE. Gigante da Colina hosts Londrina on Wednesday (18), at 9:30 pm, in São Januário.
