The Metropolitan Municipality gives 50,000 for singers’ fees for the New Year
Vasil Naydenov will receive a fee of BGN 20,000 excluding VAT from the Sofia Municipality for his participation in the traditional New Year’s concert organized by BNT. This was decided by the municipal councilors from the commission on religion, education, science and culture. The municipality set aside a total of BGN 50,000 for the remuneration of some of the performers on the festive night.
The pop icon Miro will raise his voice in front of the celebrants for 12,000 BGN. Our most successful representatives in Eurovision 4 years ago, Elitsa and Stundji, will also be engaged for this amount of money. The singer is valued higher – with 7,000 BGN, while her ex-partner will have to settle for a modest 5,000.
The “Sevlievo” brass band will entertain the people of Sofia for BGN 6,000, the councilors also decided.
So far, it is not clear how much the other participants will sing against – the groups “Ahat” and “Te”, Crisco, Skiller and his sister Lilana. From the proposed calculations, which are expected to become a fact on December 8, it can be seen that they will divide over BGN 30,000.
The entire value of the festive concert “Stage under the stars” will be over BGN 200 thousand. The money is provided by the municipality and comes from savings from the budget of the “Culture” directorate.
BGN 119,350 are the allocated funds for the stage, sound, lighting, fireworks and ice screens. The partners of the national television – the Metropolitan Municipality, will provide BGN 50,000 for the payment of the fees of some of the performers, which amount to a total of BGN 82,000 without VAT . The remaining expenses – BGN 20,850 – are for the project implementation team and travel expenses.
For the second year in a row, the municipality will also sponsor the “Rock Christmas” with BGN 20,000. The event is a 5-hour musical marathon with the participation of Bulgarian rock artists and a symphony orchestra. The municipality has allocated BGN 2,400 for 200 banners.
The decisions for the two concerts are to be discussed and adopted at the SOS meeting on Thursday.
