It is in front of about thirty members and in the presence of the departmental president Jean-Claude Calvet that the president Jean-Marie Aubry opened the general assembly of the Fnaca Quercy-Rouergue which brings together the municipalities of Castanet, Cazals, Féneyrols, Ginals , Parisot, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Varen and Verfeil-sur-Seye. He thanked the mayor of Varen for the gracious loan of the room, and before giving the floor to secretary Jean-Marie Teulières, he observed a minute of silence in memory of the missing. After wishing his best wishes on behalf of Fnaca Quercy-Rouergue for this new year, the secretary indicated that the number of members had slightly decreased. This is partly due to widows who cannot take the card because they are often placed in nursing homes and to former members who are too far away to participate actively. Seven members have died in the past year. The committee participated in several ceremonies: Caylus camp, commemoration of March 19 in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and Montauban, May 8 and November 11… as well as participation in the funeral at the request of other committees. Activities have been reduced for various reasons: reduced dynamism due in part to the effects of the pandemic, aging members. In fact, no outings were organised. Regarding the work of memory, the office will resume contact with schools. For social action, the Quercy-Rouergue committee is active as far as possible. At the request of the director of ONACVG, an information meeting was organized on March 16, 2022, in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, which essentially focused on the various one-off or chronic aids to which members can claim. This part of the action of Fnaca is more and more important. The files filed mainly concern funerals but also payment difficulties, work to adapt the house, heating, etc. A meeting was held with the tax department to better meet the expectations of members. For 2023, an outing in Sidobre and a visit to Castres are planned in May or June, a day of relaxation to meet at the end of August-beginning of September. Treasurer Dominique Debraine read the financial statement which shows a slight deficit over the year. She indicated that a grant application had been submitted to the county council. The 2023 subscription is increased to €24. Both reports were voted on unanimously. The departmental president made the report of the national committee which was held in Chambéry, with the decisions and the orientations taken. “The Fnaca is gradually disappearing. The golden age is over. We will have to manage better with fewer and fewer members.” For 2023, aid to the ONACVG, which becomes the OCVG (Office for Combatants and War Victims), is maintained. The simplification of aid application files has been approved. Resuming the floor, Jean-Marie Aubry indicated that the Caylus committee, which no longer has an office, wanted a rapprochement with the Quercy-Rouergue committee and that negotiations were underway.
After the vote of the cantonal delegates, the office of the Quercy-Rouergue committee is thus constituted:
President : Jean-Marie Aubry; secretary : Jean-Marie Teulières; treasurer: Marie-Dominique Debraine.
This general meeting ended with a friendship drink.
