English striker Jimmy Vardi bolstered Leicester City’s lead in front of Aston Villa in their match Monday evening at Walkers Stadium, as part of the 29th week of the Premier League competition.

Vardy started the game from the bench and then participated in the last hour of the confrontation to score the second goal for his team from a penalty kick in the 63rd minute of the match, before the player himself returned and scored the second for him and the third for his team in the 79th minute of the game.

The 33-year-old broke his double fasting scoring fast in the English Premier League since last December, to score his first goal during the current year 2020, as he did not know the way to the competitors net during the 644 minutes he played in the competition.

Fardi raised his score to 19 goals to be the top scorer in the Premier League, away from goal by Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerque Aubameyang, and two goals from Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star, and Argentine Sergio Aguero, Manchester City striker.

Salah is trying to keep the golden shoe as the goals of the English Premier League for the third time in a row, after he was crowned top scorer for the competition during the past two seasons by scoring 32 goals in (2017-18) and 22 in (2018-19) equally with his colleague Sadio Mane and Obamyang.

It is noteworthy that Vardy became one goal away from scoring his 100th goal during his career in the Premier League, where he scored 99 goals so far in the Leicester City shirt in the local competition in 202 games since his debut in the season (2014-15).

Scorer of Premier League 2019-20 to date:

Jimmy Vardy – 19 goals

Pierre-America Aubameyang – 17 goals

Mohamed Salah – 16 goals

Sergio Aguero – 16 goals

Danny Achieved – 15 goals
