Varane “wanted to leave Real Madrid well”
MANCHESTER. Real Madrid is considered to be the pinnacle of any footballer’s career. Correspondingly has Raphaël Varane apparently, despite his ten-year stay, did not immediately decide to leave the royal family. On his United debut, Varane even succeeded in submitting the decisive 1-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“Pressure and expectations are pretty similar”
The world champion copes well with the demands on the island – especially after what he had already experienced in Spain’s capital. “It’s always difficult to make comparisons. The big clubs expect a lot from the players who have come. I think the pressures and expectations at Real Madrid and Manchester United are pretty similar. Both clubs always want to win, a defeat or a draw is something very negative “said Varane.
