However, he admitted that he was attracted to working in a top foreign competition. In Třinec, he would like to say goodbye by winning another title. The coach of the reigning master stated this in his blog.
“I have found that the time has come to move on. Where, I don’t know yet, I have no offer on my desk to sign,” wrote the forty-five-year-old former striker, who led the team to the championship in 2019 and this year.
“However, I feel that I have to move on. In your important decision, the voice of my heart, which I like to listen to, will always tell you, and it has now prepared other challenges for me, which I look forward to,” Varaďa added.
In a comprehensive statement, however, he also indicated some mental wear and tear. “I love hockey and I’ve always done it and I do it one hundred percent. That’s why I can say with a clear conscience that I helped the Třinec Steelmen to stability and growth. Of course I want the same for the players and other people around me. Even because the club has known its position and vision for a long time, it does not consider its decision – and with regard to the valid contract until 2027 – surprising – a decision to be a hasty step. He sees it as the result of a persistent situation.
