This measure is part of the emergency transport plan presented last February by the prefect Evence Richard, aimed at combating air pollution in the region.
The Crit’Air sticker in Toulon arrived on June 1st, necessary to circulate, has been available since that day. Owners of overdue vehicles can still order it in order to comply with the regulations in force.
The area affected by this differentiated traffic measure includes the cities of Toulon, La Garde, La Valette, Ollioules, La Seyne and Six-Fours. It should be noted that motorways are not affected by this measure.
Light vehicles with a class 4 and 5 Crit’Air sticker will not be allowed to travel between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. when the measure is put in place. This specifically concerns diesel cars registered between January 2001 and December 2005 (Crit’Air 4), between January 1997 and December 2000 (Crit’Air 5), as well as vehicles prior to 1997 and two-wheelers dating from June 2000 to June 2004.
As for heavy goods vehicles, diesel vehicles registered before 2009 are also prohibited from circulating.
Certain derogations are granted, in particular for vehicles carrying out missions of general interest such as safety, emergency and health. Carpooling vehicles transporting at least three people, agricultural vehicles or transporting foodstuffs, as well as vehicles boarding or disembarking from ferries also benefit from derogations.
It is important to note that the cost of the Crit’Air sticker is 3.70 euros, shipping costs included. The only official website is the following Certificat-Air.gouv.fr. No other site is authorized to sell these thumbnails, so it is important to remain vigilant against possible scams.
