A couple, who wished to remain anonymous, won exactly 73 448 160 euros at EuroMillions. The previous record dated from 2015, and was 16 millions. The winning grid (23, 31, 37, 42, 48 and stars 3 and 7) was validated in the municipality of Ollioules. And it’s far from being a simple stroke of luck.

La Française des jeux, in a press release, reports that the winner’s father was already used to regularly filling out combination books, and that he undoubtedly transmitted the virus to his son. Because it is the husband who, in the couple, indulges in this game of chance. The evening of his victory, February 20, he remembers it as if it were yesterday. Connecting to the FDJ website around 10:25 p.m., he had to around thirty checks to convince himself that he had won.
