The Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, announced Wednesday morning a better regulation of vaping products, in particular by limiting the level of nicotine in e-liquids and by banning aromas and flavors in these products.

This announcement follows the recommendations set out in the report of the National Director of Public Health which were also made public Wednesday morning.

The report – which aims to protect the health of the general population, but especially among young people, where vaping is a real scourge – makes seven recommendations.

In addition to the aromas and flavors, as well as the maximum concentration of nicotine now limited to 20 mg / ml in all products, the report notably mentions the adoption of a specific provincial tax on vaping products and the reduction of points of sale. vaping products near educational institutions.
