Vanya Grigorova before citizens in “Druzhba” district: Come out and vote en masse on Sunday for #86 – 2024-05-11 00:58:17

/ world today news/ Full mobilization is necessary to prevent the Assembly from being repeated in Sofia, said the candidate for mayor and leader of the list from the Local Coalition “BSP for Bulgaria”, “LEVITSATA!” and others.

Vote on Sunday for mayors and for the lists for municipal councilors of the Local coalition “BSP for Bulgaria”, “LEVITSATA!” etc. Don’t let doubts about the electoral process demotivate you from exercising your birthright right to vote. This is what Vanya Grigorova called for in the Iskar region.

Instead of closing the campaign, Grigorova and candidates for municipal councilors continued their meetings with residents of the outer districts of the capital. By the lake in g. k. “Druzhba” Vanya Grigorova was met by the candidate for mayor of Iskar district Boris Tsvetkov.

“A complete mobilization against the status quo is needed to put an end to the vicious practices that rob the life and future of the ordinary Sofian,” she told the citizens. “We must be active and responsible in whose hands we will leave our common future.”

The participants in the meeting united around the opinion that Vanya Grigorova is the real alternative and the only candidate who can face the assembly, and therefore every vote for her is a vote against the status quo.

“Be sure that my opponents, who until the last were hiding and trying to escape from the real debates and the real clash of ideas, will try to reproduce the assembly at the national level in Sofia as well,” warned Vanya Grigorova and called on all those disappointed by the previous management of the Capital Municipality, whose voice is not heard, that all working Sofians, who create real gross domestic product, should not succumb to apathy and skepticism:

“Therefore, vote on Sunday so that the change expected by all of us will happen,” urged Grigorova.

“The mayor of Sofia is the one who sets the direction, the political vision, the philosophy and the priorities for how the city should be run. “That’s exactly what I plan to do when I’m elected. And our first priority is the development of public and social infrastructure,” said Vanya Grigorova.

According to her, today’s Sofia is developing at several speeds and is the capital of shocking inequalities. Over the past ten years, the gap between the incomes of the richest and the poorest has almost doubled.

“Gated, well-maintained complexes coexist with neglected and overdeveloped neighborhoods. Gleaming and well-equipped private hospitals compete with languishing and crumbling municipal health facilities. “The system” of elite and non-elite schools produces elite and non-elite children”, Vanya Grigorova pointed out and added that in the so-called “developed” areas there are several private kindergartens, but there are no streets, municipal nurseries and schools and other social infrastructure.

According to her, the reason for all these contrasts is that the city is governed by a political democracy, not a market dictatorship.

“Sofia is not a market! It’s time to give meaning to the word ‘democracy’ again and give us the chance to build a democratic city,” she told the citizens.

According to her, for this purpose, the Municipality should place at the center of its policy not the privileged from the market, but the citizens and the producers of goods – the working people.

Vanya Grigorova pointed out what is necessary for this and it is included in the program of MK “BSP for Bulgaria”, “THE LEFT!” and others. – decentralization in the planning and distribution of financial resources intended for the regions and a structure of budget expenditures that would drastically increase the share of money for health care, education, sports and social activities. The privatization of municipal property should be stopped, and the management of basic communal services should be carried out by municipal companies and enterprises. Investment policy should be subordinated to two main goals – construction of kindergartens and revitalization of neighborhoods from the periphery.

The citizens did not hide their sympathy for Vanya Grigorova, wished her success in the upcoming elections and expressed their hope that she can make the capital a better place to live.

“We count on you, only with your support this can happen”, Vanya Grigorova said in response.

Buying and selling votes is a crime!
