Roberto Vannacciwith two photos on Facebook, compares the turnout at the Versiliana for his speech a week ago, compared to that on the occasion of the public interview with the President of the Senate Ignatius LaRussa of yesterday evening, again at the Marina di Pietrasanta festival. “Desolation at the Versiliana yesterday 30 August for La Russa and his interviewer Alessandro Sallusti. About 120 people counted… (also present Ladies which mobilised the entire party)”, writes the general, elected to the European Parliament with the League, publishing an image of the audience, flanked on the right by another photograph taken when he was on stage: “The comparison with Vannacci’s evening last 24 August which brought together 1000 people, many of whom remained standing, is not even possible”.
To a follower who noted that with the attacks between centre-right allies “we are playing the game that the left wants”, the MEP responded: “No attack, just a response to La Russa who has never missed an opportunity to criticise and belittle me. For me, it ends here”.

But not for Ignazio La Russa. Who replies to the general always via social media: “For me the competition with Vannacci never started and I didn’t even realize that I had ever belittled him – writes the president of the Senate on Facebook – I was sorry that because of his mixing the Decima with the electoral campaign, the Comsubin for the first time were unable to shout ‘Decima’ at the parade on June 2. A reference to the editorial signed today by the journalist, entitled ‘The devil in uniform’, in which he claimed that “the great critics of Vannacci are building his fortune for free, reserving him attention and honours – such is a fund of the Courier – a little disproportionate, with all due respect, to the current role of man”. “For example – Sallusti wrote – I believe that the general’s main problem is not the expectation, but rather the lack of a tailor: he wears shirts and jackets from the 1960s and 1970s that are truly unwatchable in shape and color (much less in combinations), probably the same ones he had in his closet when he first put on his uniform as a boy and never took it off again”.
