It’s hard to imagine the German hit scene without her: Vanessa Mai (32) has celebrated a number of successes in recent years – she won gold awards, reached the top position of the German charts with two albums and collaborated with stars like rapper Sido (43 ).
When the musician isn’t playing concerts or appearing on TV shows, she keeps her fans updated via Instagram. She now has more than 1.1 million followers on the platform (as of September 2024).

And they recently saw a short video that is really something special: In the clip you can see Vanessa Mai standing in front of a white wall. She is only dressed in short, blue trousers and a blazer with a striped pattern. The “I die for you” interpreter is wearing nothing under her jacket – so the viewer can see a lot of bare skin.
And that is exactly the point of the matter. With the posting, Vanessa Mai wants to draw attention to a very specific topic that also affects her.
A red skin lesion can be seen below the pop singer’s right breast – a so-called port-wine mark. The dark red to reddish-purple spots are benign vascular malformations. As a rule, these are congenital or arise in early childhood.

In the caption, Vanessa Mai writes: “Mom always said that my fire mark under my breasts would disappear when I grew up. She just didn’t know that her breasts weren’t going to work.” She garnished the message with a laughing and a shrugging emoji.
