The Swedish podcaster, fallfounder and mother of two Vanessa Lindblad (37) confused several followers when she shared a photo from the birthday of her two-year-old daughter on Instagram in February.

In the picture, Lindblad is sitting in bed with her two-year-old daughter Cleo, but on the birthday balloons there is a completely different name: Mila. Below the picture, the podcaster has written “Mila 2 years”.
“What happened to the name Cleo?” ask a follower in the comments field.

In the Swedish podcast «The Success Pod»The 37-year-old explains the name change in more detail. Several Swedish media have covered the case, including Expressen and News24.
To the host Alexander Pärleros, the mother of two tells that she has always liked the name Cleo, and that she considered the name when she was pregnant with her daughter. Later in the pregnancy, Lindblad felt that she was not 100 percent sure of the choice, but her son Matteo (4) had already started calling little sister in the womb Cleo.

– We had barely used the name and he (the son, journ.anm.) Intercepted it and started calling her Cleo. Then my husband said: “Matteo has chosen it, and it is so nice that he has chosen the name”, she says.
– Everything is a bit unclear
The situation did not get any easier when the future daughter’s godmother, the Swedish TV presenter Rebecca Stella (36), wanted to give the godchild a very special gift.
– Before I got her, she asked: «have you decided? Because I have something very nice I want to give and it is not possible to change it later ». And then there was a diamond necklace with Cleo’s name. Then I got even more pressure on me. Later I decided on Cleo, she admits.
When Lindblad gave birth to her daughter, she says that she immediately saw that «it did not look like a Cleo». Still, she brushed her mind off, assuming the feeling would subside over time. It did not.
When her daughter was six months old, she told her husband Valentino Lindblad that she felt they had chosen the wrong name for the little girl. The husband, for his part, felt that it was too late to change his daughter’s name.

Told it to the family
But the thought still bothered Lindblad. During a family trip to Dubai, she decided to air the idea for the rest of the family. When the 37-year-old told which name she wanted her daughter to change to, the whole family was positive about a possible name change.

But the future godmother and podcast partner was not as open to the idea, when Lindblad told about the desire in their own podcast, “Now life begins».
Stella thought it was “a strange thing to do” and “do not think one should do such a thing”. Still, she encouraged her friend to “follow her heart.”
