Vanderlei Luxemburgo Has Renato Augusto and Gabriel Moscardo Available for Sunday’s Game against Coritiba in the Brasileirão

Vanderlei Luxemburgo has at his disposal for Sunday’s game, at home, against Coritiba, for the 19th round of the Brasileirão, at least two players who were missing in the duel against Newell’s Old Boys, from Argentina: midfielders Renato Augusto and Gabriel Moscardo.

Withdrawn from the trip to Rosario only by a protocol to avoid a sequence of games for the 35-year-old player, Renato trains without limitations and has everything to be a starter against Coxa. For recent games, however, the tendency is for him to play for just 45 minutes with an eye on Wednesday’s game.

That’s because, on the 16th, Timão will visit São Paulo at Morumbi, qualifying for a place in the final of the Copa do Brasil.

In the case of Moscardo, he is 100% free to play again. Recovered from appendicitis surgery, performed three weeks ago, the 17-year-old midfielder will be listed and may even be in the starting lineup.

Who still inspires more care, however, is the Paraguayan Matías Rojas. The midfielder had a more serious problem than anyone imagined – he suffered a trauma to his left ankle on July 22, in the draw with Bahia, and has since been out. It’s already 19 days of treatment.

Rojas has been doing individual work on the field with the club’s Health and Performance nucleus. So far, however, he has not integrated ball training with the group and is unlikely to be included for Sunday’s duel. Assessments, however, are made day after day. There are three practices left until the match.

A possible Corinthians on Sunday may have Cássio, Fagner, Gil, Murillo and Fábio Santos; Gabriel Moscardo, Maycon and Renato Augusto; Wesley, Adson and Yuri Alberto.
